Dash

The dash is made out of 1.6mm tread pattern aluminium. It has incorporated the old gauges and added the new marine grade switches I bought. I have also added a glove box. I will be putting the radio in here as well as enough room to store some stuff.

	As I removed all the old wiring I had to start from scratch. This shows the rear of the dash as I am wiring it up. Once I have checked everything I will remove my test wires and wrap everything in electrical tape. Once this is done I will add silicone cable sealer and the outer ribbed casing.
	I have made the wires long enough so I can unbolt the dash and sit it on the floor. This will be handy later on when things go wrong.
	This is the speedo and Tacho that came with the buggy. I pulled it apart, cleaned it then tested them all. They all work fine so I am using them for my fuel and temp gauge as well. A very rare item to any beetle owner is the trip meter.
