About me

Hi out there in Web land. Thanks for dropping by me Buggy Website. I hope that you can find the information and articles useful. If you would like to see more feel free to email me requests and I will see what I can do.

By way of and intro my name is Brad and I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I have been into Buggies and other off road vehicles since I was just a young tacker. I was lucky in that I grew up with access to a couple of hundred acres to play on and a full size workshop facility to destroy stuff in. I am happily married to Jennifer with out whos support I would not be half the person I am. Jen has her own hobby which is animals. to check out her collection visit jenspets.netspot4u.com

Over the years I have learnt a great deal about off roading and VW Based vehicles. This learning curve has seen me destroy a great deal of stuff and fail with many of my ideas. This failure has ,however, seen my ability grow to what I hope is an acceptable level to continue building and modifying VW based off road vehicles safely.

I have played / raced and destroyed many different variants of vehicles some of them are as follows:

Motor Bikes - YZ 80, KX 80, KX125, RM 80, KDX 200, IT 175, IT200, TT250, TT280, TT350, XR250, XR 440, XR600, YZ400R, and a few others I borrowed for a race or two.

4wd's - Suzuki LJ80, GTI powered, 4" lift, full roll cage. Toyota BJ42, turbo, locked, lifted, Shackle reversed, heaps of mods. Toyota Hilux by 4 , Turbo, locked, lifted etc etc

VW - Well where do I start, mmmm over 30 beetles, 13 Baja Bugs, 18 Manx Buggies, 4 others buggies, 14 Kombi's and a few others that don't really fit into any boxes.

As you may gather from the list I have played with a few different variants. Over the years I have begun to settle down and tried to centralize my projects and interests to let me concentrate more on getting one vehicle to an awesome level. I have settled on Meyers Manx Buggies. Why you may ask ? Well they are the most capable, value for money vehicle of the market. You can make them what you want and they are COOL...

As of November 2002 I have restarted the Manx Dune Buggy Club Australia inc. A club which with the support of others I hope will grow to the level of recognition I believe it should have.

BUGGY ON !!!
