History Floor Pan Engine Suspension / Brakes

The engine is based on a new AL ( Aluminum Case ) it has a 76 stroke counter balanced crank with new heads, 92mm barrel kit, scat 35 cam, stock rockers with swivel feet, stock sized stainless valves with stock springs, full flow oil filter, type 4 cooler and twin 44 IDF webbers.

This selection was chosen to produce more torque than speed. I was looking at a max rev range of 5000 but wanted power down low from 600 rpm up. The AL case was selected due to its increased strength and because I had never had one before.

You will see the AL cas eon the left and the AS41 on teh right. The AL case has additional strength in areas such as the follower guides and around a lot of the engine studs.

The have added much more and slowly angled it in rather than the harsh angle of the AS case.
