MANX 2 - THE SUPER MANX |

MANX 2 - THE SUPER MANX
Manx 2 was bought in early 2000. It came with another Manx and was on a rolling floor pan. All in all I ended up with 2 bodies, 2 bonnets, 1 dash, 1 windscreen, 1 set of headlights, 2 rolling floor pans and a roll bar. It was more than what I needed to get the project going. After some serious thought and financial consideration I decided to sell the white body and one of the floor pans to anther enthusiasts. Since my intent is to build a very custom Manx I wasn't real worried about most of the stuff and only wanted the body, bonnet and dash.
Once I had the body I began on my plans. I had already begun on the pan and now the plans increased. I have outlined my plans below. Where you see a picture, click and it will take you to the complete page for that modification.
| The floor pan - started life as a 1958 pan with swing axle and king / link pin suspension. It has changed a little since then. Click on the image for full story | |

| The gearbox is a 1600 kombi unit which has been fitted to the beetle chassis using a Custom Off-Road Kit. | |
| The front end will be a widened king and link beam with 4 adjusters, disc brakes, re-enforced steering arms, holden tie rod ends and oversized tie rods. It like the rear will use bilstein shocks. | |
